A Modern Palm Reading, Dec. 20, 2011.
So on our first night in Jaipur, I got my palm read for 50 rupees at a tourist trap called Choki Dani. After scanning my palm and examining it in close up on his laptop. I was extremely skeptical, but here’s what he told me:
1) After December 29th, my life would become very happy.
2) I would have two kids, one boy and one girl.
3) I would meet a cute and lovable boy.
Now I don’t know about numbers two and three, but so far number one is coming true. Since December 29th, I’ve seen my grandmothers in Great Falls, I’ve rung in the New Year with great people, and now I’m in New York City, ready to go back to my Indian home. Saying goodbye for the second time has been especially bittersweet, but I’m looking forward to what 2012 has in store.
