The Last Days of Disco and The Whiskey Sour

Alice: “That’s odd he knew I drink vodka tonics. I never told him.”

Des: “It’s uncanny.”

Alice: “You mean it’s a complete cliché? All women recent college graduates drink vodka tonics or something like that?”

Des: “Well, maybe.”

Alice: “So Jimmy thinks I’m a total cliché?”

Charlotte: “I ordered a vodka tonic too. So what. You’re plenty original without having to order some very own drink.”

Des: “Yeah I wouldn’t worry about it. Can I get you another one?”

Alice: “Thanks actually. If you don’t mind. I think I’d prefer. Um. A whiskey sour.”

 Whiskey sours are one of my most-missed drinks from home.  I’m really looking forward to busting out the Fessler-Vaughn family recipe at Christmas:

Take 1 can frozen lemonade pour into pitcher.  Fill can with whiskey and pour in a beer.  Add ice and maraschino cherries to garnish. 

Deliciously (and dangerously) strong - plus um. unique.
